Ernst Thaelmann

Ernst Thaelmann (1886 - 1944) fue un miembro del Partido Comunista Alemán (KPD) desde 1920. Ocupó cargos políticos cada vez más importante con el partido, de representante parlamentario a la cabeza de la KPD en la República de Weimar. También fue candidato a la presidencia. En 1933, fue arrestado por los nazis. Murió en el campo de concentración de Buchenwald en 1944.
