Changes, changes: for the first time in the history of Europe, 12 national currencies make way for one. Starting on January 1, 2002, the DM is past history. But don`t be worried if you still have some DM bills tucked away somewhere. You can exchange them into EUROs at German central banks within the next months, although you will have to pay a small fee.
