The Bocksbeutel is set apart from other German wines by more than the shape of its bottle: it is special to the climate and the culture within which it is raised. The long winters in Franken make for less residual sugar in the grapes, resulting in a wine variety with less sugar than 4g/l (other German dry white wines have around 9g/l).
