The Kurfuerstendamm used to be the center of West Berlin. After the reunification, it lost its dominance to Unter den Linden. It is still worth taking a walk down the "Kudamm" - lots of designer stores, movie theatres, restaurants and department stores are located in this area. Donīt miss the KaDeWe (Kaufhaus des Westens)department store on the Wittenbergplatz. It is similar to Harrods in London, but less expensive.
